On behalf of our community, I am pleased to welcome you to our website.  Whether you are a citizen of Festus needing information, a future visitor to our community or a business looking for a place that is dedicated to your success, our website is here to meet your needs and exceed your expectations.

Excitement is everywhere as we welcome you to Festus!  Our friendly town extends a hello and welcome to all—new residents and visitors.

Festus is located in Jefferson County approximately 30 miles south of downtown St. Louis.  The City covers approximately 3.5 square miles.    Interstate 55 intersects the City, physically dividing Festus into east and west sections.  This highway provides excellent access to the St. Louis metropolitan area as well as other parts of Missouri.  The City is traveled by Missouri Highway 61/67 which runs north and south.

The City’s principal economic activities are retailing and service enterprises.  In recent years there has been significant growth in the City along the Interstate 55 corridor including the development of a shopping center, hotels and several food establishments.

The City owns and operates seven parks covering approximately 218 acres.  Facilities are available at City parks for tennis, baseball, soccer, basketball, softball, horseshoeing, racquetball, disc golf, fishing and     picnicking.  The largest park, West City Park, covering 178 acres, includes two lakes.
