The City Clerk’s office issues all city business licenses, liquor licenses and contractors licenses.  The City Clerk's office works in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Revenue and the Missouri Division of Labor Standards to help ensure all business owners comply with the law.

The clerk  assists the Mayor, City Council and City Administrator and is responsible for the safekeeping of all city ordinances, resolutions, council minutes, and other official city documents.  

The mission of the City Clerk's Office is to provide the citizens of Festus with services essential for growth, development and enhancement of its quality of life.
