About the Tourism Commission
The Festus Tourism Commission is made up of 5 volunteer members of the Festus City Limit Community to disperse revenue generated by the 5% Tourism Tax approved by Festus voters in 2012.
Members of the Commission are:  Judy Williams (Chairperson), Jim Muellersman, Dave Stoll, Pam LaPlant, Krystle Burke.
The Tourism Commission meets at least once a year in June or July and again in the fall if necessary.  Notices of the meetings are published in The Leader and on the website.  To make a presentation to the Tourism Commission here is the information on what details are needed and how to get on the agenda.  City staff is responsible for the financial distribution and oversight of the sponsorship or grant use.
