Entry Level Water Plant Operator
The Jefferson County Water Authority is accepting applications for an entry level water plant operator. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which requires rotation of shift work (days, evenings, midnights, weekends and most holidays), and has an excellent benefit package. Applicants must have a valid Missouri driver’s license, high school diploma and/or its equivalent and obtain a Missouri Department of Natural Resources “D” water license within 18 months of hire. Applicants must pass a drug screening and background check; physical requirements must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. along with being able to climb stairs, bend, stoop and lift. A current Missouri water license is preferred but not required. Starting salary for entry level is $13.34 per hour or $27,747 annual.
