Central Avenue Overlay Project—

A new water line is being installed as the first phase of construction on Central Ave. from Mill St. to Horine Rd.  Sidewalks will follow, and spring of 2012 is the expected start time for paving.

Street Maintenance Program—

The City of Festus has implemented a new plan for maintaining the streets of Festus.  This plan includes preventative measures to reduce maintenance costs.  These projects will greatly improve the conditions of the streets in Festus.  The City  is investing approximately $500,000 each  year   for  this annual

program.  The link below includes a map that outlines the streets designated to be repaired over the next few years.  The second map is color coded to show where the funds will come from to pay for these projects.
