The Mississippi Sawyers are an up and coming band hailing from St. Louis, Missouri which will kick off the 2nd half of the event at 2:00 pm. As a bnad, they are fairly new around the music scene, originally forming in early 2008, yet individually its members are anything but when it comes to keeping the tradition alive, energizing a listener and still captivating each audience while creating their own sound. Every member has their own style and continues to find new ways to reach this style of musics' ever broadening audience. Whether you want that lonesome feel of the traditional or tight harmonies or those "ear grabbin" guitar and mandolin licks or the steady rhythm of the banjo to satisfy, you'll be sure to find your toe tappin' all the way home! The Mississippi Sawyers have only just begun their journey of a well polished sound and you can guarantee that you will soon begin to hear great things about this band!
The Mississippi Sawyers line up is as follows
Jeff Griffy: Guitar
Dave Mueller: Mandolin
Nate Free: Banjo
Candice Hale: Upright Bass
