LOST PETS 
If you have lost a pet, notify all agencies listed below immediately. Place a sign in your yard, but NOT on utility poles or street signs.  In Festus, they will be removed.

IT IS BEST TO LIST A PET BY ITS COLOR AND SIZE, NOT JUST ITS BREED! Many animals never get home, because people list an animal's breed incorrectly. It happens OFTEN. When reporting a lost or found dog, list it by color and size.  We cannot emphasize this enough. Even the pet's owner will sometimes misidentify their pets breed.

Most newspapers list a "Found" pet, for free.  All Veterinarians have bulletin boards to list pets...call them and ask to have pet posted on their board.  Many people DO find their lost dog at the St Louis Humane Society...so, please, contact ALL agencies -Do not limit yourself to just local!
