Jefferson County Water Authority (JCWA) employs seven employees who operate the Cathy Jokerst Water Treatment Plant located in Herculaneum, Missouri. Entry Level Water Plant Operator

The Jefferson County Water Authority is accepting applications for an entry level water plant operator.  This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which requires rotation of shift work (days, evenings, midnights, weekends and most holidays), and has an excellent benefit package.  Applicants must have a valid Missouri driver's license, high school diploma and/or its equivalent and obtain a Missouri Department of Natural Resources "D" water license within 18 months of hire.  Applicants must pass a drug screening, physical and back ground check.  The physical requirements must be able to lift up to 50 LBS along with being able to climb stairs, bend, stoop, and lift.  Starting salary for entry level is $13.34 per hour or $27,747 annually.
